    Maternity

I love maternity photography… my models can’t run away (little joke there).  Seriously, maternity photography is challenging genres to master. Black and white in the studio is an art-form unto itself, but it takes skill and patience to ‘paint’ on a black canvas with slivers of light.  If you are around 7 months pregnant, and want amazing, unique photographs to eventually show your children, then you are in the right place. We have only a small window to work some magic, but the unique opportunity to capture intimate and respectful beauty.

    Head-Shots, Family & Lifestyle Portraits

My style is natural and authentic.  I aspire to capture the essence of my subjects; nothing forced or insincere.  My clients are typically professionals who need head-shots, or just those who want to capture a special moment in time.  I love these sessions, we photograph in the park and around my neighbourhood, but most importantly, we are able to connect, appreciate there is the opportunity to laugh, and we create some amazing images.

“I had a blast with Jonni.  He makes you feel so at ease and really knows what clothing and settings will work. He is very professional and gives you lots of information before the photo session so you will be prepared.  During the session he is an absolute delight and was able to dispel all my self-consciousness and stiffness so that my photos reflected my true personality.  The whole experience was a standout.”

    Israel: One Family

I have the honour of being the photographer for the One Family Hike since 2012.  The hike takes place in October, and raises money for children and families in Israel who have been affected by terrorism.  I compile a photo-album and slideshow upon my return.  It’s an interesting evolution; I get to photograph most of the same hikers in the same environment a year apart.  I witness how people change, and how I evolve as a photographer.   This really feels like my ‘second family’, and I’m looking forward to the next one.

“Jonni, these One Family pictures are amazing. They are not only a testament as to how good you are as a photographer, but how awesome you are a person.  I can truly feel the connections you made with the people in the pictures. Wow, well done. “
