Darwin’s Bar Mitzvah: May 21, 2023
I loved hanging with these guys, an original family if I ever photographed one, totally up my alley. I met these guys at the recently renovated Narayever Shul on Brunswick for a rehearsal a few days before the big day. Darwin was fantastic. We laughed, we cried, and then we went for a little walk contemplating the day. Fast-forward to Sunday, and I was there bright and early ready to go. We photographed the extended family outside before heading in to the sanctuary. Darwin was great, read beautifully from the torah, and made everyone so proud. Service over, it was time to party. A little post-ceremony schmoozing before heading to the Faculty Club the at U of Toronto where we were welcomed by a great band, fun games, delicious food, warm speeches, and everyone ready to go. Mazel tov, Darwin, way to go.
