Max’s Bar Mitzvah: October 19, 2025
Max’s Bar Mitzvah was back at one of my favourite and always-anticipated spots, the Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club. I love this venue, especially when the sun is shining, the air is crisp, and fall is showing off. Lucky for us, that’s exactly how the day played out. I grabbed a few shots of Max outside while we waited for our courtesy golf cart to whisk us down into the meadow. The first set was our “urban” series, brick walls, big smiles, and the whole immediate family. Once we hit the meadow, things turned “rustic.” We got the best of both worlds, with plenty of walking, chatting, joking, and those easy, playful moments that make the best photos. After wrapping the meadow shots, we headed back up for the extended family and cousin portraits. The balcony at Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club never disappoints, it’s one of those views I could photograph forever. Then it was time to get serious; ceremony time. A quick rehearsal and Moshe Saadon was ready to guide Max into adulthood. The ceremony was warm, heartfelt, and full of love. The room flip for lunch was quick, and what a lunch it was. Richmond Hill Golf and Country Club always nails the food, and they didn’t miss a beat. The theme was golf, and every detail hit the mark, from the décor to the table settings. There were heartfelt speeches, wise words from the grandparents, and plenty of laughs. Somewhere between the toast and dessert, Max officially became a man. The photos don’t lie. Before lunch, I got to photograph all of Max’s mom’s friends out on the deck, and wow, what a backdrop that was. Then it was back inside for more of everything: speeches, games, food, candy, laughter, and that perfect Bar Mitzvah chaos. Mazal Tov, Max. What a day.
