Dylan’s Bar Mitzvah: January 8, 2026
That was a wonderful two days spent with the delightful Dylan as he stepped into adulthood. We began with a rehearsal on Wednesday, followed by the ceremony on Thursday, which felt like the perfect amount of time and space to usher this young man into this milestone. The rehearsal was easy and stress free. While the snow outside Adath Israel limited us slightly, it did nothing to dampen our enthusiasm or our commitment to making beautiful images. I took a short walk with Dylan, then with his sister, followed by immediate family, and finished with the extended family gathered in the foyer. After photographing Dylan with the Torah, we wrapped up and prepared for the main event the next day. I met the family again for the ceremony, and it was truly spectacular. Dylan was calm and confident. He spoke beautifully and made everyone incredibly proud. The day was perfectly capped off with a delicious brunch brought. What a meaningful and memorable celebration. Mazel Tov.

•Advice for Future Mitzvahs: Try to keep your focus on the bigger picture, rather than just the details. Remember that it’s about helping your child feel supported, capable, and proud of reaching this moment. hen it’s time to celebrate, do what feels right for your family and your child, not what you think you’re “supposed” to do.
