Mara’s Bat Mitzvah: May 3, 2026
We had a fabulous time downtown in Liberty Village with Mara and her crew on Sunday night. I love shooting in the city, there is always something interesting around the corner and a new angle waiting to happen. Mara was in fine form on this lovely spring afternoon. We managed to get everything done outside before the rain showed up, which in Toronto this time of year feels like a small miracle. Immediate family photos done, we headed into Nodo Restaurant to wrap the extended family. Then came the ceremony. Arlene Moshe brought her warm and intimate style downtown and we all found ourselves tucked into what might be the coziest sanctuary I have ever photographed. Tight quarters, big energy. Mara was fantastic. She read beautifully, looked completely at ease, and made everyone proud. Smiles, candy, laughter, a lot of giggling, exactly what you want. Quick room flip, dinner rolls out, and just like that the night keeps going. Mazel tov guys, you nailed it.
