Sloane’s Bat Mitzvah: September 11, 2021
This was one special Bat Mitzvah, what started out as a family photoshoot in a forest north of Toronto, ended late in the evening at Camp Wahanowin. Sloane was the star attraction of course; she looked gorgeous, even when hanging by the zip-line rope. So let’s start at the beginning, shall we. The day began up north in the Sugarbush Forest with the extended family in attendance. Photos done, everyone drove up to camp either by bus or car to meet with the party kids. They arrived on time, piled out, and headed for the camp games. The zipline, climbing wall, bouncy thing ala Camp Hananowin, and whatever else there was to offer. I just followed along and took my photos. Once that was done, camp dinner awaited, and the camp staff were all on hand to feed us. We then headed to the fire pit for some speeches, a slideshow, and the sweatshirt hand-out. By this time, Slinky from the Magen Boys had started to cook things up, and the kids were ready to party. That they did late into the night but before heading back into the city by bus, there was a spectacular fireworks display to seal the deal. What a special day, Sloane, mazel tov!!
