A.J.’s Bar Mitzvah: January 27, 2022
A.J.’s bar mitzvah took place at the BAYT in Toronto, one very chilly morning in January. A.J. was totally up for the ceremonial festivities, the party was to come a few months later, but for now, we were all good to go. The morning minyan was also ready to celebrate, and celebrate they did. AJ read beautifully from the Torah and spoke with compassion and feelings. Once torah reading was out of the way, heartfelt speeches were to follow. A delicious take-home breakfast was handed out and then it was over… for now. We stayed for some family photos and to finally relax from the mornings hectic pace. Move on a few months, and it was party time.
We all met at the York Mills Gallery for a wild Saturday night party. Bounce was on board to lay down some smokin’ tunes, dancers at the ready, this was going to be one wild party… and it began. First, while the sun still shining, we took family photos outdoors in the new courtyard. Then, inside we did go to schmooze before the hora and general party-ness began. Hora, speeches, dancing, tiny donuts, you can’t go wrong with tiny donuts, can you? Great fun A.J., mazel tov!
