Romy’s Bat Mitzvah: October 28, 2023
Once again, Congregation Habonim delivers, what a wonderful shul to photograph in, the lighting and the opportunity, it’s modern but approachable. What I am saying is, you can’t really go wrong in here. Enter Romy… we hit it off right away. We set out for a little walk-about, some camera time before the younger sibs wanted to shine in front of my lens. We added parents, then grandparents and cousins, I think I photographed everyone who was there before the service even started (at least that’s what it felt like). Anyway, service… well you can’t go wrong here either. Enter Rabbi Aviva Rajsky, she was fantastic, as usual, accompanied by Tom Belman on guitar, you would be hard pressed to find a better duo to officiate your bar or bat mitzvah than these two. Back to Romy, she was amazing. Confident and graceful, she read from the torah beautifully and delivered a wonderful d’var. We wrapped up the ceremony and made our way to a delicious lunch, heartfelt speeches, and good ol’ schmoozing. Way to go guys, such a great morning. Mazel tov.
