Talia’s Bat Mitzvah: May 31, 2025
That was such a fun night. Talia’s bat mitzvah was held at a studio I’d never been to before—Motorista Studio off Laird. Totally unassuming from the outside, but inside it was pure vibe. Dark, intriguing, and full of photographic potential, even if it made me work for the light. I took Talia outside for a quick shoot. Industrial, chic, not my usual trees-and-flowers scene, but very cool in its own way. We added the rest of the family, wrapped it up outside, and headed in for the main event. The night kicked off with a beautiful Havdalah ceremony led by the one and only Arlene Moshe. She brings charisma, warmth, and an angelic voice every time. It was a heartfelt and moving start to the celebration. Then came the party. And what a party. Dave Monaco from Magen Boys was on the mic, which meant we were in for a ride. He delivered, as always. Limbo, hora, amazing speeches, dancing, food, fun—it was all there, and the party continued late into the night. Mazel tov, guys, that was fantastic.
