Levi’s Bar Mitzvah: August 21, 2025
The annual bar mitzvah calendar always divides into the mitzvahs before camp and the mitzvahs after camp. Levi’s bar mitzvah was the first post camp, end of summer mitzvah, and I’m always refreshed and ready to go after a quiet July. So here we were back at the Family Shul for my second celebration with this wonderful family. (One more still to come, I might add.) Levi and I took a stroll around the neighbourhood for some photos before the rest of the family arrived. Once the immediate family was done, we moved right into photos with the extended family, all before the ceremony was to began. Inside, the rabbi was waiting and Levi was about to become a man in the eyes of Judaism. The ceremony was beautiful, Levi spoke with confidence and made everyone proud. A lovely brunch followed, and just like that, we wrapped for the day. What a fantastic way to start the season. Mazal Tov, guys.
