Gabriel’s Bar Mitzvah: October 16, 2021 I met the family in Cedarvale in the early morning before the bar mitzvah.  Everyone was ready to go, knowing that a few hours later, we would be in the thick of things, torah in hand, people everywhere.  This was our little bit of family time to be had.  Gabe was looking sharp, and willing.  We all had a fun time before wrapping up and heading to Habonim for the big celebration.  We hooked up with the extended family outside in the courtyard before settling into the ceremony.  Habonim is a wonderful synagogue to shoot, bright and spacious.  We finally headed back to the family home for lunch and a more intimate environment.  Mazel tov guys, fantastic simcha.   The Story of Gabriel’s Bar Mitzvah: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos: HERE   •Clothing (Mitzvah): North Boys      •Shoes (Mitzvah): North Boys •Decor: TWSS Balloons        •Photographer: Jonni Super •Venue: Congregation Habonim    •Tent and rentals: Sunshine Party and Tent Rentals  •Caterer: Toben Food by Design •Specialty Food (cookie place cards): Best Shortbread by Jess     •Rabbi: Ilyse Glickman      •Cantor: Aviva Rajsky

Isaiah’s Bar Mitzvah Rehearsal: June 5, 2020 Well COVID is upon us, so it was a photoshoot by distance and mask. That did not deter from the fun yet unusual aspect of this celebration.  The torah was at the home in the kitchen ready for the ZOOM service on Saturday morning.  Some quick photos there, and onto a little family jam… and then off to the park we did go.  Isaiah looked pretty good, he just rocked that suit, no doubt! I’m sure Saturday went off without a hitch, with Rabbi Goldstein from the City Shul.  I’m certain the next mitzvah will be a more intimate affair.   The Story of Isaiah’s Bar Mitzvah: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos: HERE   •Clothing (Mitzvah): North Boys   •Clothing (Mom): Mandala Design  •Invitations: Greenvelope •Photography: Jonni Super •Makeup: Source Organics •Hair: At home, cut by his father! •Rabbi: Elyse Goldstein, Cantor Cheryl Wunch •Other Stuff:  “Not the bar mitzvah we planned, but one that we will cherish!  Isaiah’s video-conference bar mitzvah during this pandemic will be a unique simcha story.”

A.J.’s Bar Mitzvah: April 14, 2018 A.J.’s rehearsal and bar mitzvah we’re just too fun days with this family. Lots of silliness and craziness but all good. We met at Holy Blossom Synagogue a few days before for some pictures with the Torah, and then met back on Saturday night for a wild and crazy party. These guys know how to have a good time, that’s for sure. AJ was in fine form, judging from the reaction of his friends and family, this seems to be the place he is most comfortable in. The Magen Boys threw down a fabulous event, all brought together seamlessly by Jessica Baker. Guys, I had a ton of fun, you guys really rocked it. OneFamily Fund Hike: Israel 2017 – Golan The 10th annual OneFamily Hike this year was spectacular. We ascended up into the Golan Heights, and my 6th year as the OneFamily photographer took me into ‘uncharted’ territory.  This was our largest hike, almost 90 participants.  It was also the return of ParaTrek, a company that takes disabled hikers to places they would never be able to hike.  The kibbutz this year was host to an amazing group of hikers; we laughed, cried, and came together as one after 5 days on the trail. Mazel Tov to everyone.   All photos from 2017 Golan Experience are HERE. All photos from 2016 are HERE.   HERE is a piece which gives a good synopsis of OneFamily.  If you would like more general information on the OneFamily, please go HERE, and a Jerusalem Post article on our 2016 hike is HERE. Jamie’s Barmitzvah: 7th November, 2015 Jamie Barmitzvah rehearsal was photographed at the Darchei Noam Synagogue in North York.  I love this synagogue, spectacular colours; a great space.  Saturday night was a full-on blast of a time at the eZone in Etobicoke.  There is not a better kids venue for fun and games.  A great time had by all. Carly & Jory’s B’nai Mitzvah: 26th September 2015 I photographed the amazing B’nai Mitzvah of these two families on a warm day in late September in Forest Hill.  I have known both these families for many years, and they are dear to my heart.  The kids looked sharp, like a young couple (they are cousins, mind you).  It was a fantastic party with Boris the Hypnotist providing much merriment and mirth.  The long night of partying did not stop.  Thanks for including me, guys.  See you all soon. Aliza’s Bat Mitzvah: 11th & 12th October, 2015 I photographed Aliza’s Bat Mitzvah and Family over the 11th & 12th of October, 2015.  It was a super fun weekend at the family home, synagogue, and the eZone in Etobicoke. Aliza is a fantastic kid, great personality and smile.  She was a pleasure to work with, and gave off great energy.  The eZone is a pretty cool place to hang out if you are a teenager (or an adult); laser tag, basket ball, cosmic arcade, virtual golf, games, whiryball… just a fun place to be.  Food at the house was yummy; crepes, all the sweet toppings, and the “can’t-go-wrong” Jewish bagels and lox, all were delicious.  Overall, a perfect weekend with a delightful family.  Mazal Tov guys. Enjoy the photos, they tell a beautiful story. All Photos Here Selected photos Scroll Below   All Photos Here Jonni
