Joey’s Bat Mitzvah: April 8, 2017<\/span><\/p>\n

This was a truly special and delightful weekend for me, it’s not often I get to see my\u00a0teenage photography subject stand up in front of a crowd and belt out a couple of classic jazz numbers, very surprising but amazing. \u00a0 Joey did it with style and grace belying her age. Rabbi Elyse Goldstein<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong> runs an engaging service at City Shul\u00a0and this rehearsal was no exception, in between the “serious must do’s”, the gang rose the occasion, and that occasion was pure fooling around. This family was all about\u00a0fun; appropriate when necessary but letting loose when they could. Revival<\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0was a lovely venue to photograph in, both inside and out; quaint yet stylish. \u00a0Thanks for having me join you for the night, it was the highlight of my weekend.<\/p>\n
