Austen’s Bar Mitzvah: January 28, 2023<\/span><\/p>\n

My third time around with this family, and this was going to be the last celebration for a while. Austen of course, had benefited from two earlier siblings mitzvahs, so he knew exactly what to expect. I met this family at Holy Blossom<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, which is always inviting, bright, and gives me many photographic opportunities. I took Austen for a quick walk outside, being winter and all, before heading into the foyer to finish things up. We added some siblings, some parents, and some grandparents, before going into the sanctuary to take photographs with the Torah. I wrapped up my rehearsal, and Justine took over for the post ceremony lunch. Fast-forward to Saturday lunch, and Austen looked very dapper in that blue Mitzvah suit.\u00a0 The family had chosen a beautiful blue and white d\u00e9cor with a ski theme in the newly renovated room downstairs for the post-ceremony luncheon.\u00a0 When the guests arrived, some candid shots of Austen with his friends and cousins in the foyer was the order of the day.\u00a0 Lots of schmoozing with mimosas and tasty appetizers, before everyone moved into the main hall for a lively hora while a jazz band played in background.\u00a0 There were several beautiful speeches from Austen\u2019s family members, lots of laughs, some tears, and many hugs afterwards. A delicious buffet lunch and dessert followed, and that awesome ski cake for Austen.\u00a0 Mazal Tov, Austen and family, so nice to see you again.<\/p>\n
