Judah\u2019s Bar Mitzvah: January 20, 2024<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s always special for me when I have a connection to my clients, and double special when the event is the first one of the year.\u00a0 \u00a0I am back from New Year’s vacation feeling invigorated and excited. Judah\u2019s dad and I share an affinity for the bicycle, and have spent many a kilometres in the saddle chatting about this and that, and now this and that has come to pass, and it was a smashing success.\u00a0 <\/span>We started off with a rehearsal at Beth Sholom<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for the family.\u00a0 <\/span>Some reading from the Torah, some family fun, but mostly we were waiting for the Saturday night. So fast forward a few days, and I met up with the family at Duke\u2019s Refresher<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on Front Street for what was going to be a crazy ‘jersey<\/strong><\/em>‘ party like none other. This is a location I have not yet been to so that adds to the excitement. Judah was great, we walked around to get acquainted with the place, took some chilled out photos before inviting his sisters and finally parents to join in. Then everything just went crazy as both sides of the family showed up and joined the festivities. Once photos were done, we all wandered downstairs to find that guests had started to arrive, and everyone, as expected, was dressed in a jersey. Totally cool. The night was full of games, basketball, Jesse from Magen Boys<\/strong><\/span><\/a> holding down mic duties for a wild dance party, and just some fantastic energy to start off the year. Mazel Tov, guys, way to go.<\/p>\n
