There are always a few mitzvahs in August, and this was to be the first.\u00a0\u00a0I met Nathan and the family at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adathisrael.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #993366;\"><strong>Adath Israel<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on Thursday morning, bright and early. Nathan and I did a little walk around the synagogue, and I was basking in his huge smile. I\u2019m sure you all know what I mean. Eventually, we invited the rest of the family in to join the fun, both immediate and extended.\u00a0\u00a0We then headed into the mitzvah ceremony. With the small sanctuary, intimacy was definitely in the cards. Nathan was amazing. He read beautifully and made everyone proud.\u00a0\u00a0We wrapped up the ceremony with the ubiquitous candy and some very appropriate speeches from some very appropriate people, then headed into a delicious lunch, as is the usual at Adath.\u00a0\u00a0Guys, way to go.
