Jaclyn & Eric’s Henna & Wedding: March 4 & 15, 2018<\/span><\/p>\n

These\u00a0were two\u00a0spectacular days behind the camera, not including the engagement party. The henna party was first and the wedding a week later.\u00a0 Jaclyn looked stunning at both events, a bride to behold.\u00a0 There is\u00a0always a lot of spirit in the\u00a0Sephardic\u00a0Jewish community, and this was no exception. Right from the onset, Ben and I knew\u00a0these\u00a0were going to be two special nights.\u00a0 Both events blended together seamlessly under the expert direction of Judy Steiner<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0 The new Forest Hill Jewish Centre<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a> on Spadina is an ideal\u00a0space\u00a0to hold a party, and the Sephardic Kehila Centre<\/strong><\/span><\/a> on Bathurst\u00a0is perfect for a\u00a0wedding.\u00a0 Both\u00a0venues\u00a0were dressed for success; the decor was stunning, the atmosphere was upbeat, the food was simply delicious, and everyone was there to sing praises to a wonderful couple.\u00a0 If you’ve never been to a Sephardic wedding before, you are in for a treat.\u00a0 There are many practices, traditions, and of course, clothing changes.\u00a0 Time-honoured jewish custom is the order of the day, from the Tish<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, to the\u00a0Kabbalat Panim<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, and finally under the\u00a0Chuppah<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The ceremony was jubilant which was then\u00a0kicked up a notch\u00a0when the horah got underway.\u00a0A Sephardic Horah<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is like no other, and this was like no other; 45 minutes of non-stop energy before the first course was served.\u00a0 The speeches and blessings followed\u00a0and dancing brought the night to a beautiful close.\u00a0 Mazal tov.<\/p>\n
