Eli’s Bar Mitzvah: June 3, 2017

I photographed Eli’s bar mitzvah rehearsal at Beth Torah, Yossi Sapirman’s beautiful synagogue on Dufferin near Lawrence. I love this venue, specially during the day, the light come streaming in and bathes us a warm glow. Eli was great, his parents I’ve known for a number of years, and I’ve been looking forward to meeting the kids and photographing them in a traditional settings. The rehearsal went flawlessly, the kids definitely played it up for the camera, with much brotherly jesting back and forth. The Friday night dinner prior to the Saturday mitzvah was a celebration of food, humour, and good times. The dinner was held at Sopra Upper Lounge, and it was simply put… delicious.
