Milo’s Bar Mitzvah: December 2, 2023

Photographed by: Jonni & Marley

My first run around with this family was very early in Covid, it was just the four of them and me photographing at the family home. Well, we’ve come a long way, we are now capturing a rehearsal and a post ceremony lunch at Holy Blossom. I met up with Milo and the family a few days before the bar mitzvah, and we made our way through the beautifully renovated synagogue taking photos as we went. Milo was radiant, just enjoying his time in front of my lens. Add a sibling and parents, and you have a crack mitzvah team ready to go. We took some pictures at the Torah, and then had some fun before we called it a day. Fast forward a few days and we (I say ‘we‘ because my daughter Marley and I both photographed this simcha) met up with the family after the morning bar mitzvah ceremony for a lunch and schmooze. These speeches were great, the hora was lively and long (that’s what you get with live musicians), the music of Joseph Landau was fantastic, and the food was delicious, Sonny Langer or course.  Everyone just had a great time. Guys, Mazel Tov, way to go.
