Sam’s Bar Mitzvah: April 25, 2026
My second adventure with this family turned into a fantastic morning at Congregation Habonim. I love this space. Rain or shine, there is always beautiful light and room to work. Sam was all in from the start. Toronto spring rain was doing its thing, so we stayed inside and made the most of the foyer and everything it had to offer. We started with the immediate family, then brought in the whole crew. From there we headed into the sanctuary for a wonderful ceremony. Rabbi Audrey and Cantor Kim guided this young man into adulthood. He spoke beautifully and made everyone proud, and by everyone, I mean four generations. His great grandmother was on site and she is a Tour de Force. After the candy and speeches, we moved into a delicious lunch courtesy of Toben. Good music, lots of hanging out, a photo booth, all the ingredients of a great celebration. Mazel Tov guys. Way to go.
