Izzy’s Bar Mitzvah: October 10, 2021 This was one special day, a beautiful backyard bar mitzvah with a special family.  The day did start out very WET, but that did not dampen our spirits.  Izzy and I walked around the neighbourhood, onto the Cedarvale bridge, the circle parkette outside the house, just strollin’ and shootin’.  He looked pretty sharp, he did… but nothing could compare to those puffy pink earrings (you’ll see). Finally the whole family was ready, so we hit the bridge again before heading under-tent for the ceremony.  Izzy was in fine form!! We wrapped with some family out front, and called it a day.  Mazel Tov guys.   The Story of Izzy Bar Mitzvah: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos: HERE   •Clothing (Mitzvah): North Boys •Shoes (Mitzvah): Vans •Clothing (Mom): Aritzia •Invitations: Paperless Post •Makeup: Candice Orenstein •Hair: Nicole Kelley – cowlick •Decor: Milton Tents  •Florist: May Flowers •Event Planner: Us •Photographer: Jonni Super •Videographer: Mitch Belman •Venue: 11 Connaught Circle •Caterer: Anthony Rose

Samara’s Bat Mitzvah: September 11, 2021 Photographed by: Jonni Super & Rob Ackerman This event was two days quite separated, Rob photographed the party at the house while I held down duties at the rehearsal.  The party was a whole bunch of friends gathered in the back yard enjoying a Saturday Havdallah ceremony, the ubiquitous hora and chair raising, speeches, and general fun was had by all.  The rehearsal after the fact was all serious rehearsal stuff.  Samara looked stunning, and we had a great time walking around.  She and I did a little tour outside Adath Israel, wandering the grounds.  We then added in all kinds of siblings, parents, and grandparents, until we were done, and then we headed in for some torah photos.  The synagogue on this day was bright… the sun having it’s way with us.  We managed to gather everyone up and get some good photos on the bima before calling it a day.  Mazel tov, guys!!!   The Story of Samara’s Bat Mitzvah: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos: HERE   •Clothing (Mitzvah): Blink Blank •Shoes (Mitzvah): Trick Kicks •Clothing (Mitzvah): The Bay (big sister) and North Boy (little brother) •Shoes (Mitzvah): Browns (Mom) •Clothing (Dad): […]

Sloane’s Bat Mitzvah: September 11, 2021 This was one special Bat Mitzvah, what started out as a family photoshoot in a forest north of Toronto, ended late in the evening at Camp Wahanowin.  Sloane was the star attraction of course; she looked gorgeous, even when hanging by the zip-line rope.  So let’s start at the beginning, shall we.  The day began up north in the Sugarbush Forest with the extended family in attendance.  Photos done, everyone drove up to camp either by bus or car to meet with the party kids.  They arrived on time, piled out, and headed for the camp games.  The zipline, climbing wall, bouncy thing ala Camp Hananowin, and whatever else there was to offer.  I just followed along and took my photos.  Once that was done, camp dinner awaited, and the camp staff were all on hand to feed us. We then headed to the fire pit for some speeches, a slideshow, and the sweatshirt hand-out.  By this time, Slinky from the Magen Boys had started to cook things up, and the kids were ready to party.  That they did late into the night but before heading back into the city by bus, there was […]
