Chris & Jordan’s Wedding: June 15, 2024 Oh, where to begin? This wedding was a magnificent symphony of two incredible families uniting. Honest love and warmth filled every corner, and I can’t imagine a single thing they could have done differently. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing these families before, but this… this was something truly special. So, how did the day unfold? We kicked things off at the Four Seasons in the late morning with some “getting ready” photos. Jordan and her crew were having a blast with hair and makeup, while Chris and his gang were probably just chillin’—as the groom often does.  First up, family photos with Chris, the kids, and parents in the lush garden downstairs. This little green oasis amidst the downtown concrete is one of my favourite spots. Chris and the boys were as relaxed as could be. Once we wrapped, I sent them off to the wedding-house and turned my focus to Jordan. She looked… well… stunning doesn’t even come close. Radiant is more like it. The energy and spirit of her family were just fantastic.  So photos of Jordan’s family, kids, siblings, parents, and that takes care of portraits. We all headed […]

Ryan’s Wedding Proposal to Hailey: July 16, 2022 Well look where I found myself on a warm summer Saturday afternoon in Toronto, at the Four Seasons Hotel, mind you. I have no idea what room, as I was guided there surreptitiously by Ryan’s mom, very cloak and dagger. So, I find myself crouched down behind three feet bright white letters spelling out, “Marry Me” (you’ll see).  My mission, if I choose to accept it, and choose I did, involved me capturing the look on Ryan’s soon-to-be-fiancee, Hailey’s face, as she did stride into the room… so there I was crouched behind three feet bright white letters spelling out, “Marry Me“.  The backstory, as you might be wondering; how did this all come to pass?  In my frequent communications with Ryan regarding this proposal, we were settling on the perfect plan.  The original script called for Centre Island, Ryan and Hailey sipping wine picnic style, gazing into each others eyes. Me, crouched in the bushes with my trusty Canon 5D mk iv with the long Canon 70-200 f2.8, sniper style, waiting for the perfect moment to shoot. Basically waiting for the ring to make it’s appearance. Well, that did not come […]

Elkah & Menachem: January 9, 2020 Well wouldn’t YOU choose the coldest day this year to go strollin’ around in the Cedarvale Park… and that’s exactly what we did.  A quick drop-in for Menachem before the wedding, and a swift photoshoot before heading to the airport. Elkah looked radiant and Menachem looked manly, and I looked… mmm, bundled up, but we all made it through, and have AMAZING photos to show for our troubles. Guys, great fun.  Have a wonderful 2 weeks before the big night.  Mazel tov!!!   The Story of Day: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos: HERE

Lisa & Jason’s Wedding: September 22, 2019 Photos by: Jonni Super & Justine Apple Well this was one fancy affair, what started out on Friday night as a wonderful photoshoot in the park followed by a delicious dinner, ended on Sunday night with the marriage of Lisa and Jason. Sunday started with family portraits followed by the Bedeken officiated by the affable Rabbi Avraham Plotkin. Post Bedeken, everyone gathered in the enormous ballroom of the Windsor Arms Hotel for the ceremony. Once again, Rabbi Plotkin was all over this one, and a truly beautiful ceremony ensued. Once the ceremony was over, Lisa, Jason and I headed to the roof while everyone schmoozed during the cocktail hour. Then of course, the party began. The hora was followed by and an amazing show tune by Lisa’s sister, heartfelt speeches, delicious food and dancing well into the night. Event planner, Lisa Rotstein tied this whole thing together beautifully. I’m sure this is one night nobody is going to forget.  Mazel Tov, guys!!!   The Story of Lisa & Jason’s Wedding: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos: HERE   •Photographers: Jonni Super Photography •Ceremony Venue: Windsor Arms Hotel •Reception Venue: Windsor Arms Hotel •Her Dress: Blu Ivory […]

Megan & Colby’s Wedding: Sept 8, 2018 Megan and Colby’s wedding took place at the Toronto Ski Club at Blue Mountain in Collingwood. This was a amazing event by all standards. It was a spectacular day on the summer ski hill overlooking both Georgian Bay and the soon-to-be-snowy Blue Mountain ski hill. These guys were totally up for the event, starting out with photographs at the Blue Mountain Village around the pond, and finally making our way to the ski club. Megan looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown, Colby looked handsome in them sweet threads. The ceremony was delightfully funny, speeches were heartfelt, food was delicious, and then things just got out of hand on the dance floor way into the evening.  Congratulations guys, that was a fantastic day.   The Story of Megan & Colby’s Wedding: Selected Photos HERE The Story of Megan & Colby’s Engagement: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos: HERE   •Photographers: Jonni Super & Ben Gaum •Pre-wedding Photo Venue: The Village at Blue •Ceremony Venue: Toronto Ski Club •Reception Venue: Toronto Ski Club •Her Rings: [engagement]  People’s Jewellers

This is just a sneak peek of the insanity that was their wedding last night at the Sephardic Kehila Centre. It will take me a while to go through the thousands of photos but it was well worth staying up last night just to sort through some pictures to show them today. Lisy & Ariel’s Wedding: November 5, 2017 Well this wedding was one wild and crazy affair, the perfect way to end the wedding season. Ben and I started photographing Lisy and Ariel getting dressed in their respective homes, and then we met up for an intimate ‘reveal‘ at Lisy’s parent’s home.  It was then off to… wait for it… the Ontario Science Centre for some… unusual wedding photos. We met for family portraits at the Parkview Manor and moved on to the ceremony.  Some post-ceremony schmoozing, and then they were off… to party like it’s the end of 2017.  Horah Gone Wild, heartfelt speeches, intimate father / daughter / mother / son dances, and topped off by a Flash Mob dance.  These guys know their moves, and those moves were out there for everyone to see.  Yeah baby!!  Guys, thanks for including the team in such a wonderful night.  Mazel Tov.   The Story of Lisy & Ariel’s Wedding: Selected Photos HERE All the Photos HERE (and there are many) and if you missed it… The Engagement Session HERE   •Pre-wedding Photo Venue: Ontario Science Centre •Ceremony Venue: Parkview Manor •Reception Venue: Parkview Manor •Her Rings:

Nikki & Daniel’s Wedding: Oct 1, 2017 So if you’ve never been to a Cowboy Wedding, you have to put it on your bucket list.  This one was a blast down to the mechanical bull… but more about that later, let’s go back to the beginning.  The morning started out just like any other wedding morning, Ben and I headed off to the elegant Richmond Hill Country Club to meet up with Nikki who was enjoying a hair and make-up indulgence.  I photographed the general revelry and then headed off to photograph Daniel where things were way more chilled… like the whiskey. We all met up for a ‘reveal’ outside said Country Club, and headed in for a special ceremony officiated by the lovely Rabbi Erin Polansky.  The whole day came together so nicely by event planner extraordinaire, Angela Zaltsman, A to Z Event Management. A delicious brunch ensued followed by some wonderful photos down by the bridge. Fast forward through the afternoon, and we’re now at the Rock ‘n Horse for the above-mentioned ‘cowboy wedding’. This extravaganza included barstools with saddles, cowboy hats, and the obligatory mechanical bull. One can only sum up the evening as…yea-ha!!!  Ben, Mitch, and I had a blast, thanks for having us saddle up with y’all.   The […]

Mara & Josh’s Wedding: Sept 9, 2017 – Camp Arowhon Algonquin Park This was one of my favourite weekends of the wedding season, spent at Camp Arowhon with Mara and Josh as it was their…. WEDDING!!!   Mara and Josh make a wonderful couple and this wedding really brought that to the fore.   Everyone stayed over in their own log cabin, and made it seem like we were all back at camp again, just like in our teenage years. Canoes were a-paddlin’,  climbing ropes a-hanging, you could go anywhere and do anything, unlike actual summer camp :-). The place looked fantastic, all decked out for a celebration to end all celebrations. The morning started with me wandering around camp and photographing whomever and whatever. I made my way to Mara getting dressed and then over to Josh. We had a special reveal on the dock and then crept a way to get some private photos before taking portraits with the family.  Finally on to the ceremony… yes, the ceremony. Quite an entrance was made by both parties, one aquatic and the other equine, just your typical entrance, y’know.  The party rocked like no other, this band blew the roof off the camp main lodge. The party went into the wee […]

This will be a fun wedding next week, really looking forward to it.   Make sure the cowboy hats show themselves. Jonni   Selected Photos HERE All Photos HERE

OneFamily – A Taste for Life: May 24, 2017 I had the honour of photographing the OneFamily Fund dinner, “A Taste for Life“, at the stunning Artemano gallery earlier this week.  This is the second year I photographed the event, and it surpassed last year’s dinner. The gallery is gorgeous; exquisite modern reclaimed wood furniture set in an idyllic breathtaking space.  From the delicious food to the smooth jazz, the evening was bound to be first class.  This subject for the evening is heavy yet uplifting, OneFamily Fund is committed to providing hope and support to those in Israel who have been affected by terrorism.  The short movie and speeches were inspiring and uplifting, and connected all in attendance in solidarity. It was a pleasure to be a part of the evening.   All photos are HERE to download.
