Aubrey’s Bar Mitzvah Rehearsal: October 14, 2026

I love Holy Blossom. It’s easily one of my favourite synagogues to photograph a Bar Mitzvah. They did a spectacular job with the renovations a few years ago, and honestly, the place never lets me down.  The architecture, the light, the interesting little corners, a photographer’s dream.  And then there’s Aubrey. Throw him into the mix and we were absolutely rocking it!  He was fantastic. We wandered around the synagogue, chatted about this and that, found some great spots and generally had a really good time taking photos. Nothing too serious, just Aubrey being Aubrey, with me tagging along and making him stop every few minutes because I’d spotted another cool space.  All good practice for the big day on Saturday!  We then added a few family members, some grandparents and cousins, and we were off to the races. A little more wandering, a little more organizing, a few laughs and plenty of lovely family photos.  Of course, no Mitzvah rehearsal would be complete without the obligatory photos with the Torah. We got those too, and then called it a day.  A great afternoon with a lovely bunch of people, and now we’re all set for Saturday.  Mazel tov, guys! Way to go!
