Silver’s Bat Mitzvah Party: August 30, 2026 (New Age)
Silver’s Bat Mitzvah party at New Age was a joy. I’ve photographed at there before, but this was the first time I’d seen a stage in the round. Magen Boys were on deck to work this new setup, Daniel on the mic and Monaco on the board, so we were definitely in for a treat. But that’s for later. Silver and I took a little walk around outside New Age. Very industrial, but very cool. We got some fun photos before the rest of the family joined us, followed eventually by grandparents and extended family. All just tons of fun. This was one fun family. I’m pretty sure Friday night dinner at their house is quite an event. We headed inside as the guests started arriving and there was some serious schmoozing going on. I noticed a dude painted silver standing on a pedestal like a statue. You know those statues you see in Europe that only move when some little kid comes over and gives them cash? Well, no kids came over to give him cash, so he just stood there. No movement. Nothing. It was cool. Lots of schmoozing, lots of food, lots of treats, and everything was silver. The backdrop, the decor, the details, the dude standing on the pedestal. Silver everywhere. Eventually we all headed inside for an amazing hora, delightful speeches and a whole lot of dancing. Having everything in the round was definitely different, but it made for a really interesting night and a great party. And Silver had an amazing time, which by all standards is the name of the game. Mazel tov, guys. What a fun night and a pretty great way to kick off the Mitzvah season after camp.
